/ BEHIND THE PROJECT

About this project

A restaurant operations platform concept bringing together POS billing, dine-in and takeaway orders, kitchen order tickets (KOT), table management, inventory, staff roles, purchases, deliveries and analytics in one responsive workspace. Visitors can explore a safe, no-login interactive portfolio demonstration populated entirely with fictional restaurant records.

The challenge

Restaurant teams often handle billing, kitchen tickets, table occupancy, ingredient stock, staff coordination, deliveries and daily financial reports across disconnected workflows. The design challenge was to organise these tasks into a clear, responsive workspace while making an accurate, safe demonstration available to prospective clients without requiring an account or exposing real restaurant operations.

Our approach

Create a polished public product landing page using the supplied RestoPOS design assets, then develop a separate, browser-local POS demonstration. Organise the workspace into familiar restaurant modules, connect billing and kitchen order stages, support fictional sample orders and settlements, and provide in-context reports and reset controls. Isolate all demo interactions from real WordPress administrator privileges, production databases and third-party financial or messaging services. Validate the central interactive flows in a headless browser and capture HD screenshots for the portfolio.

Project outcome

Leave blank until verified results are available. The implementation of a functioning offline browser demo is a tested capability, not evidence of a commercial client's business outcomes.

RestoPOS is a restaurant management and point-of-sale web application concept designed to simplify the daily work of restaurant owners, billing teams, captains, kitchen staff and delivery riders.

The original project includes a full-screen POS interface and dedicated workflows for billing, open orders, kitchen ticket management, menu configuration, ingredient inventory, purchasing, customer loyalty, delivery, staff and operating reports. The public showcase introduces the system with responsive layouts and product interface previews.

For this portfolio adaptation, I created a separate, visitor-accessible demonstration rather than exposing a production payment or administrative system. The demo includes a connected order flow: choose dishes, prepare a bill, send a sample KOT, move it through kitchen stages, record a simulated payment and explore the updated reports. Additional demonstration modules let visitors inspect a sample restaurant’s tables, menu, stock alerts, purchases, customers, team roles, delivery board and cash-shift reconciliation.

A role selector offers Owner, Billing Manager, Cashier, Captain, Kitchen and Delivery Rider perspectives. All names, order values, customer profiles, sales figures and operational records are fictional. Changes are kept locally in each visitor’s browser session; real billing, payment processing, notifications, printers, sensitive credentials and production data are not connected.
